Welcome to  Where the Wild  Things are!

My goal is to take your vision and make it a reality. After losing both my grandma and grandpa over the last few years, I’ve discovered that my passion is memories, not just photography. Maybe that sounds cliche, but the fact is you should celebrate every milestone of your life, because there are only so many. 

When I started photography back in 2016 I was so excited to photograph everything. My 104k icloud photo is a great example of that excitement. When we lost my grandma in 2021 I dove almost head first into weddings and away from smaller sessions. I thought that was the only place I could fully capture memories for my incredible clients. And while I’ve loved being apart of my clients' big days, I’ve also missed the smaller moments. This was only cemented in my mind when we lost my grandpa this year. 

In an effort to stay true to myself, and what my business stands for, I have made the hard decision to step back from larger weddings. This has been one of the hardest choices I’ve made for my business but I know that my heart is with sessions. It’s truly where I thrive and it allows me to be there for my clients in a way that brings me joy. This change will also allow me to spend more time with my loved ones, and at the end of the day I’ll get to snuggle into bed with my husband and pups. 

 

Will you completely stop taking weddings?

The short answer is no, but I will no longer be taking weddings with over 30 people in attendance after 2024. I will also still be regularly taking elopements. 

 

What does this mean if we’ve already booked you for our wedding? 

Nothing will change, my 2024 couples can still rely on me to be 1000% present for your wedding, and all of the before and after events. This step back will be taking place for 2025 and beyond. 

 

What does this mean for sessions? Are you only taking on certain types? 

Just more of them, really. I will focus on family, couples and maternity, but I am open to everyone. My photography has always been LGBTQ+ friendly, as well as pet friendly. I want to meet your loved ones and celebrate all the life moments with you! I’ve never been someone who feels the need to stick to one niche, so I don’t plan to label myself anything other than

“Your Photographer”.
